Beckton Alps2 is Joel Shea, a self-taught producer who has used various digital audio workstations, soft synths and samples, to create conceptual recordings since 1998.

Informed through the personal experience of homelessness and institutionalisation - which have been a backdrop throughout his life - isolation, psychosis, dissociation and poverty are key themes in his work.

'60' works field recordings, processed harmonies and a morse code generator, into an immersive sensory challenge, uncovering personal forms of madness.

This is brooding & menacing. It has a radio waves, broken transmission feel to. The featured machines haven't neccesarily taken over, but they're inescapable. Waiting. Watching.
