Recorded at the School Of Sound Recording, Manchester behind closed doors on the cusp of the big lockdown, this set captures the band at their most freewheeling; with a new lineup giving the songs a fresh take off the back of a tour with Bromide and Dark Globes. As Tom reflects: “that tour was some of the most fun we’ve had as a band and it was great to be able to capture that vibe with a proper desk recording, and the energy from these gigs has carried right through into the new stuff we’re working on now.”

Manchester indie-rockers Easter have released two albums, two EPs and a clutch of smaller releases, building a reputation as one of the city’s best-kept secrets. They’ve found admirers in Huw Stephens at Radio 1, Tom Ravenscroft at 6 Music and most recently Gideon Coe who played their split with Bromide repeatedly. They’ve also garnered praise from Uncut, Record Collector and NYC magazine The Big Takeover, and built a loyal fanbase across the UK.

Spurred along by singer/songwriter/guitarist Tom Long with a rotating cast of Manc-underground shredders, they’re a formidable live act who have toured the U.K extensively and provided support for post-rock behemoths Mono, avant-rockers Ranga and Mugstar but also poppier acts such as Canadian shoe-gazers Tallies. For all of Manchester’s illustrious musical history, it’s hard to bring to mind a local act that they compare or aspire to. They at once embody the spirit of 'Ragged Glory'-era Neil Young, Television and Dinosaur Jr while also the likes of Chris Forsyth’s Solar Motel Band and Yo La Tengo.

“A welcome throwback to the wry, self-lacerating alt-rock of the early 90s' - Uncut

“Built on 90s US alt-rock foundations – think a holy trinity of Sebadoh, Slint and Sonic Youth, an extraordinary listen" - Folly of Youth

"combines angsty US alt-rock with an atmospheric jangly sound something like a meeting of 60s psychedelic folk-rock and the dreamier side of late 80s indiepop."
